The first picture is of Nathan sitting on the rock outside of the front of our house. The next picture is Nathan reading with Mommy. We took a picture of my Dad eating ice cream on the counter with the boys (story later). Finally, Thomas is riding the couch as if it's a horse.
Since Thomas has started to talk in sentences, we are finding that he is bossy. It's not a bad thing yet, but it still catches me off guard. He told my father "sit here" and he points to the counter next to him. So up hops my Dad. Thomas is always telling us to sit here or put it there. Now that the boys talk, it's neat to have insight on what they are thinking. I'm not sure what to do about the bossiness other than ask him to tack a "please" on the end.
The other day, Nathan pulled out the kitchen drawers and walked up them like stairs getting himself on the counter....all planned out and successful.
Last week, I was sick most of the week due to Lyme disease. The boys were excellent. They spent much of the time with my parents. For several months now, both boys have been Very partial to my father. They talk about "Baba" a lot. They now say grandma, but my Dad is still Baba. During this past week while my parents were here, I noticed it was my Dad they went to if they got hurt or just wanted to snuggle. It's hard to share your kids like that even with your own father but I feel so glad that they love him so much. Anything associated with Baba here (like his coffee cup) leads to a detailed discussion as to where he currently is. Baba home? yes, Baba is home. Baba coming? No, maybe tomorrow.
We've set up our pool again this year. Both boys really enjoy the water. Even shivering cold with chattering teeth, it's tough to get them out of the pool. Just
Saturday night in the bath tub, both boys were putting their face in the water and blowing bubbles.
