We are getting ready for a vacation this week. It'll be our first time that all four of us stay in hotel room together! We will be at Mom and Dad Riders from Monday to Thursday morning, then we will be in Toronto for 2 nights. We'll drive home Saturday.
The boys have so much fun outside. This is a typical day for us (barring rain): wake up, breakfast (on back stoop if possible), go outside to play, nap at 10, play outside, lunch, play outside, nap at 3, play outside, dinner, play in living room with Da Da, go to bed! A very busy day. If I catch them being cranky inside, I know a sure fix is to go outside.
They kept busy at a pile of dirt for a long while and we have a small baby pool that they love. We haven't even taken a walk in ages because they just love to tool around the yard. Nathan had fun riding with his Dad on the Kaboda but Thomas wasn't quite up to it yet.
We've had a couple of early morning visits from the turkeys. 10 babies both times. I wonder how they fare with the coyotes.
Anything that remotely resembles a phone, goes up to their ears or they hold it up to my ear. This time, it was an ear of corn. We have a fan remote and an AC remote that they carry around for phones along with a couple of old cell phones. This afternoon, Thomas was using his arm for a phone and Nathan was using a water bottle. I wonder why they are so fascinated with this concept.
We got some cool swimsuits that have foam sewn right into them. The boys tried them on last night to get used to them. It made them a little top heavy and they tipped over a few times. The suits aren't heavy, just big and bulky.
We had our final visit with early intervention and made the official decision to end the services at this time as there is nothing they need help with.
Today we had lunch at someones house that has a railing over the staircase. Nathan had climbed up and was looking through the rungs down at Thomas who was with my friend Shelly. I asked Nathan if he saw Thomas and Nathan clearly said "Thomas" as he looked down. It was clear enough that Shelly looked up with surprise and said "I heard that!".
love,
